The guide didn't seem too concerned, but I asked for something else. I've had enough training and trail experience to know this was an unacceptable solution. They were clearly too short but the guide looked at me expecting me to say they were ok. They didn't adjust to my height so the guide tried a 'trick' to shorten them, when that didn't work she got me children's stirrups. I was put on a horse that had longer stirrups. We waited for a ride that included no safety instructions, went at the speed of walk-stop-walk, included minimal interaction with the guide and was extremely uncomfortable!
Apparently a reservation doesn't mean what what I think it means. A new group was just getting settled on their horses. Upon arriving for our 2pm reservation, we were told they were running 45 min late.
